DR ok, but DR on BB no maps on slaves

Hi all,
I have this problem: If I render with DR from 3ds max it's all ok, but if I render the same scene in BB with DR, the slaves buckets render with no maps.

I use:
3DS Max 2015 Sp3 and Vray 3.10.03 on all machines

Someone could help me ?

From your description the issue seems to be user account permissions or firewall related.
Do you use the "Transfer missing map"option ?

yes, I use "Transfer missing map" option. I use free panda antivirus, so I use only windows firewall.
How is the solution to adjust the user account permission?

Thanks for the confirmation.

In case that Backburner and V-Ray Spawner are running as a windows service on the render slaves, you have to be sure that the account they are using has the necessary permissions.
You can check this from here:


I believe this should be done only for the Backburner, since the regular Max/V-Ray DR jobs works fine.

Also please try to disable Win firewall on all machines and run a test again. If it works, then you should add a firewall exceptions for the Backburner process.

Hi Tashko,
I disabled Win firewall on both manager and server machines, disable UAC, V-Ray Spawner service run with administrator account but doesn't work.

The manager machine have windos 8.1 pro and the server machines windows 7 pro. I disabled UAC on all machines and I totally disabled UAC on Win8.1pro with regedit follow this link: http://www.eightforums.com/system-se...ompletely.html so now is disabled as windows 7 machines.

I dont' know what to do.

Thank you for the update.

Actually it turned out that there is an issue with this setup. The option to Transfer missing assets doesn't work through Backburner/V-Ray 3.10.03 in our tests as well.
Until we find a way to fix it, please put all external assets to a shared folder and update the scene Asset paths. This way all DR slave nodes will be able to see and render the textures.

I have one more question in order to be sure that we will not miss something here. Backburner Server is started on the main workstation, is that correct? All scene texture paths are set with local paths to this workstation ?
