  • Noise in VRayWireColor Element

I've done a quick search for this but couldn't find anything, so apologies if it's already been covered.

I regularly use the WireColor render element to generate RGB masks, however I've noticed lately that the channels aren't pure values, there are speckles of noise in them.

I've boosted the values in this to highlight what I mean. The object in the middle has a wire color of pure black, but it seems to be pulling in pixels of colour from nearby geometry.

If it helps, it appears to happen most on objects with SSS2 and/or VrayMats with translucency & fog.

    Hi,

Can you post part of the scene to check the entire setup?
Which V-Ray version is this ?

      It's 3.10.03, 3ds Max 2014.

Can I email you a link to the file?

What kind of AA filter do you use? Progressive or Adaptive image sampler? Is it possible that you have overlapping faces there? I guess the scene would be best. You can send it to support@chaosgroup.com

          Best regards,
          Vlado
