  • Stalled Light Cache

    My LC is stalling. I did a material overrides, which worked, so it would seem there is a texture issue. However, how am I supposed to trouble shoot this? I have 100's of textures in this scene. HELP!

    Ran it through the v-ray convert script and all is good. Usually, my check seen finds non V-Ray materials, but I guess not this time.

      I had a similar issue...it was a corrupted shader If you have any props like from turbosquid take them out until you find the bad shader.

        I have been purchasing from 3DSKY.net; nothing from Turbosquid on this project, although I do buy a lot from them. The convert scene script worked for me.

          This has happened to me in the past as well. Another weird one is when I see the "blur raytrace map" I know I'm in for a long night...

            If you ever have issues with raytrace maps you can use this script -
            It will basically kill all raytrace maps.

            (

            RaytraceMaps = getClassInstances Raytrace

            nullObject = bitmaptex()

            for raytinst in RaytraceMaps do
            replaceInstances raytinst nullObject

            )
