  • Proxy Tree's Particles

    I need to spread tree's over a large area of land and thought I'd use Vray tree proxies with the PF Source system in 3ds Max 2015, VRay version 3.10.03.
    As you can see from the attachment, the proxy doesn't render as the tree when spread as a particle. I don't know what I'm missing.

    are you using just the particle system ?

        Hi i have done something like you currently and facing the same problem with you.

        I have find out that you cannot use VRay proxy object directly on particle flow, so i have done all my scatter of grass, tree and etc with the following step:

        1) i create a box as a reference for my vray proxy object.
        2) and then use the box for particle system.
        3) and replace the box with your vray proxy object.

        This is the way i solved my problem without VRayInstancer, hope this could help you.
