  • White Spots

For my roof, I am using a displacement with a simple black and white graphic. However, I am getting these strange white dots on the plane. What would cause this?

Maybe you can do a blowup on that area to see it better?

Do you have any standard max "normal bump" maps?
          Check the trees for them.

My guess is that it's mapping that texture incorrectly along those sections somehow, and that's causing it to raise up and you're seeing a highlight as a result. So I would zoom right in close and do a render to see the small detail to check.

Yes, I think it's a hilight caused by some dent or bump in the texture.

I figured it out. I used a script to do the mapping and I controlled the texture with the bitmaps tiling. The tiling for the length was way to high.
