  • Guess Vert. won't keyframe...

I've got an animation where there's a targeted Vray camera thats moving around a subject. I'm using Set Key and manually keyframing everything. The issue is that when I lower the camera to set another keyframe, I click on Guess vert. to correct the perspective and then keyframe it. It all looks good. But the moment that I scrub off of that frame, the Guess vert. setting snaps back to what it was before. I have no idea why it's doing that.

    Thanks.

So using Auto Key fixes the issue and the vertical shifts play nicely. I guess maybe I'm not understanding how to use Set Key properly or something.

This might be a Max bug I've encountered before where if the camera (and/or target) is hidden, it ignores the animation of the vertical tilt/shift.

I think the issue here is different.

David, make sure that Set Key Filters is set to all

Actually I've never used this animation option in 3DS Max and I was also suppressed that by default Set key only works for position, rotation, scale and IK parameters.
