Not Responding

I have a scene that when I cancel a render, during the light calculation, MAX freezes and I get the 'not responding' from MAX. Everything looks good, but when I pick anything in the scene, it grays out and the close or wait dialog pops up.
I have waited minutes, so I have to crash MAX to get back into my scene. I am using Porest Pro, FYI.

it probably evaluates forest pack for something. Make sure the auto reload or whatever its called is turned off for it.

Sometime it make sense to merge everything to a new scene!

check the materials of your trees.... I try to keep everything in Xrefs do I can turn them off to detect the problem quickly.

It's only if I cancel when LC is calculating, too. Still happening and extremely frustrating.
