  • V-Ray RT 3.20.01 not working.

    Hi

I cant get the V-Ray RT 3.20.01 to work.

    I am using 3ds max 2016

When I render using the Active Shade. Engine CUDA

It stops at waiting for data...... I get a black screen.

My GPU is a Nvidia k5000 it is running at %12 ?

I am using the latest drivers 353.06

    My scene is....

Vray Plane with a Tea Pot

Vray Light Plane and Physical Camera.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, there were issues with this driver and many of the V-Ray versions as we have noted here http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/V...PU+Rendering##
In V-Ray 3.20.02 we have found a workaround for that driver bug, so if possible use that.

And please check that V-Ray is not running as a service.

      Thanks Blagovest

It's now working. V-Ray 3.20.02 fixed the issue.

        Since installing vray_adv_32002_max2016_x64

I noticed my GPU is running at %8 all the time? (before I have even tried rendering)

When I render with Adv node the GPU stops.

I don't think it's V-Ray; we don't do anything with the GPU when not rendering. It might be due to the drivers though.

          Best regards,

I also noticed when Vray Adv finishes a render the GPU starts running again at %8

If I press render Adv and the confirm overwriting dialogue box appears the GPU stops. If I close max down GPU stops.

            Its a bit odd
