  • error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION

    Hello,

    I just upgraded to 3ds Max 2016 and Vray 3.20.02. and i am trying to render a scene from previous version.. it loads everything fine but when it gets to that point i receive this message (see attachment), and i can't manage to work...

    Any Ideas?!

    Hi,

    Would it be possible to send us the this scene to support@chaosgroup.com ?
    It could be a simplified version of the scene that reproduces the crash.

      Hi Tashko,

      Sure thing... i am packaging the whole thing and uploading to dropbox. Ill send the link with ticket reference so you guys can take a look.

      Reading the error, i tried removing the VrayGlobalIllumination Element and now it works fine... so it seems there's a problem creating that map.

        I see in our system that Zdravko has already replied to you with a suggestion to check the memory usage during the render. If there is enough memory to handle the render job, please send us the files. It is very wired that the crash occurs only when GI render element is present.
