  • stereoscopic camera helper - backburner

    hello!

just a minor issue with the stereoscopic helper and backburner:

if i use the stereoscopic camera helper and check the "adjust resolution" setting, the rendering renders both perspectives - but if i do it with backburner it renders both views but only saves one view and not both...

is this feature working with backburner? or do i have to submit two jobs - one for each view?

What is the file format of the image you are trying to save ?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

I tried to reproduce that issue but without success.
Would you please give us more information about V-Ray/3DSMax/BB/OS versions and to provide a sample scene which reproduce the issue into your environment.

Thank you very much in advance.

I don't know if it has been fixed yet but the work around is not saving to jpeg
          Exr should be fine.

From what Vlado told me, I don't think Chaos can do much about it, as it's the max own output internal code that creates the issues.

Another work around is to set the output size to double width and not checking the adjust output in the stereo helper.

What Stanley said; some 3ds Max image writers don't like that we change the resolution at render time.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

Is there a list of working image writers? Perhaps this should take place in the notes of the documention..

              Cheers!

Note added, the problem occurs only with JPG files.
