Vray cam merge takes age!

Hello all,
I'm not sure it's the right thread to post this but....
I have a 12 million poly scene, I wanted to merge only one Vray cam, file/import/merge windows appear, I clic on the cam to merge, and it takes ages to merge, something like 50 min.
I know it isn't normal, someone can put the finger on please?
My original scene is around 1Go, the scen with the camera is around 500 Mo. I'm on 3dsmax 2015 and vray 3.2.02
What I'm doing wrong and Is my file probably corrupt? if yes, Why?

It will be best to send us the scene for investigation, but I assume this is more Max related, than V-Ray.

huge files. have you tried compresing .max files on save?
