    Hi,
    I have an animation of a car, 0 - 71 frames. Frame 00 and 02 - 71 render fine, but it won't render frame 01, seems to hang on ‘Building motion blur raycast accelerator’.

    I also sent it to Rebus render farm and they couldn't render frame 01 either, their reply - "the renderer seems to be running out of memory for that one frame (frame 0001) only. One node stopped responding while rendering it already, and I just halted the second one as the rendering proces didn't seem to be going anywhere. If it needs more than 64GB of RAM, we cannot render it. Sorry."

    If I turn off GI, lights, shadows, refl/refr, and glossy still does the same.

    I've created a fresh default scene and merged everything, loaded my render settings - same deal, won't render frame 01.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    do you have motion blur in your scene? if so, could there be something crazy happening on frame 1? like euler flip or something.

      Hi Dimitry,
      Yes, I have MB. It's sort of bullet time, the wheels are rotating a full 360 per frame. What is euler flip?

      The odd thing is I've this only started yesterday on version 101 - 104 of the scene, 100 is fine.

        turn off mb - does it render? if so, enable subframe playback in viewport and play at subframe those frames if any object misbihaves like flips on it self or something like that, it may be the cause.
