Heya Folks!
I'm doing a shot where I've to do a head replacement and in the live action footage there's an actor that places their hand on the head that I'm replacing. I've got some dummy geometry to cast a shadow from the arm and hand on to the cg head but what I'm doing is making it invisible to camera, turning off shadow and GI casting and then using it as an object in a vray dirt map as a render pass instead. The only bad thing is that my SSS shader on the head is still calculating the intersection with the arm object, even though everything on my arm is off. It seems that this works fine in the other SSS modes of prepass or object based illumination maps. I've tried using things refraction / reflection include lists and excluding my arm from the lights in the scene - is there anything else that I can try to make the SSS shader ignore a scene object?
Cheers!
