  • How do I use "VrayMultiSubTex" with Particles to add 2 different colors to them?

I've scattered some objects onto another object with Particle Flow and the "Vray Instancer" object. Now I want each particle to have either blue or red color randomly so I use "VrayMultiSubTex" map in the diffuse slot in the material. However, I can't seem to find out how to make the particles receive one of these 2 colors randomly. In the "Get ID From:" parameter of "VrayMultiSubTex" I chose "Random by Particle ID" but all my particles render red.

Can you try to add a few more IDs to the V-Ray MultisubTex map ?
    Which V-Ray version is that?

I just tried but it still doesn't apply the colors. Vray version is 3.20.03. Can you check the new screenshot and see if I'm missing something?

Please find attached my Max file below

        Instancer_RandomColor.zip

Can you perform a test render and see if you are getting the same result.

Thanks, it worked! I realized that I've been scattering my object directly from the PF Source with the "Shape Instance" operator instead of doing it with the Vray Instancer object.
