Convert scene

I'm working on a larger project and I have noticed a few standard materials. When right mouse click and convert scene, how long should I wait before I know that it's not going to work? Remember, large file with 1000's of proxies. So far, I have tried twice and gave up and killed it the first time. This time, I have waited close to an hour, but the dialog box sits there and it says not responding. If it doesn't work after a couple minutes is it safe to say that it will not work!

Hello, the convertor prints a bit of progress in the MaxScript listener, can you check where it stops:

It completed for about 10 seconds, but I guess my test scene is a lot lighter than yours (about 5000 proxies with 6 materials). Can you tell me more of the scene or even send it to us?

I ended up running it overnight and it was completed this am. Thanks!
