License Server problem

I just installed Windows 10 onto a blank hard drive, and re-installed everything. When I try to register the VRay License server, I get a popup saying "Failed to open registry key (1)"

I can Launch the server just fine, I just can't register it.

Run the command as administrator and it should work fine.
Such errors usually appear when the command has been launched from account without administrative privileges.

That worked. Thanks. Kinda weird though. I'm the computer's only user and therefore I am the Administrator. There are other non-administrator-like annoyances as well. Guess I should research what to do about it...

I'm not sure whether if there is only one windows account the same one has administrative privileges except if its name is "Administrator".
If the username is not Administrator it might not have the necessary rights to execute some commands.
