  • Bug - vray instancer won't work if pflow has no shape node

    Heya Folks!

Only a minor issue but ray instancer won't work on a particle system that has no shape / mesh node within the event you want to render with the instancer. I seem to remember you guys totally remade the rendering of particle flow so you could get correct motion blur, perhaps it's something to do with that but just as a thing - might be a case of just putting in an entry in the documentation to let people know this!

Can you post some simple example of that so that we can fix it?

Yep, I'll stick something up in the morning - a standard max flow with no shape operator in any of the events will show it though.

sorry to hijack this thread but on the same note regarding motion blur and the vrayinstancer, when I use the vrayinstancer and add a vray velocity render element to my scene, I'm getting a reported max velocity in the millions but without it and rendering the pflow geo its down to the hundreds where it should be. I'm using vray 3.20.02

We had a bug with the velocity element. It is fixed for the next service pack.
