Does anyone know why this is.
VRay2SidedMtl with VRayMtl in front and back. In some leaves shader renders well but represents part of the mesh geometry.
    Any ideas?

Could you send us the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we could investigate further? Please include the V-Ray version that you are using.

According to my tests, the issue is in the geometry, because I can replicate the "visible edges" even on a new scene setup using the tree geo, a regular V-Ray material and one light. Could you provide some details about this geometry ? Which 3d platform is used to crate the tree? I believe it has been imported in 3DS max or I'm wrong ?

However, I narrowed down the issue to the leaf normals and managed to find a way to fix it. Please try the following steps
          *) select the tree
*) activate the element mode in the Edit poly modifier and select all
*) click on the Detach - make sure both options are disabled
*) now you can delete the current (empty) Poly object

and let me know if this works for you too.
