Issue with pre pass

Hello,
I was wondering if I am missing something but when ever I use DR rendering and have my GI set to IR and LC when it goes to do the pre pass it only does one pre pass it says 1 of 1. I have my settings set up to do 4 passes.

If I turn off DR then it goes back and works as I would expect.

I was wondering if I am missing something or if this is normal behavior.

Ok I think this is normal so I read when using DR it just calculates all the passes in one go if this is correct I don't mind but maybe someone can confirm.

The image seems to be fine quality wise.
