  • 3ds Max 2012 and 3ds Max 2016 Viewport speed difference?

    Hello, I'm dhkim

I'd like to ask that the velocity of V-ray proxy's viewport is quite different by the version of 3ds Max

refer to attached video, especially, when I copy the V-Ray Proxy with V-ray 3.20.03, there are big difference for velocity of viewport as 3ds Mas

I tested all the issues in the video via Nvidia Gforce 770 and 780 as a graphic card and I also have done follow up test with Nvidia Gforce 540, 680 and Nvidia quadro 3100

There are also velocity issues in each graphiccard as the version of 3DS Max
    (same as video)

The video is made by Nvidia Gforce 540

Although I already ask for it to Autodesk and they recommended you because the V-Ray Proxy is the 3rd party of Autodesk
Regarding this situation, please check my request.

Try using some of the other preview modes of the proxy, f.e. "preview from file (faces)".

    Best regards,

this is some stuff like that which keep me away from upgrading to max 2016
Is it a wrong feeling ? For me, max seem to be less and less swift with more and more unnecessary gadgets...

Is there something new in max 2016 that force us to use some specific preview modes ???!
      (Sorry for my bad english)

The "edges" mode that we used by default before got a lot slower in Nitrous. Which is why now the default is preview with faces.
