  • Dome Light "Lock to Dome Orientation" not working for me

    Typical scenario;

    Exterior scene, Dome Light (at Origin), HDRI assigned to Dome's texture slot.

    HDRI also assigned as Instance to Environment Map Slot and Environment is visible in Camera Viewport Background.

    I rotate the Dome light but the HDRI doesn't rotate in the Viewport Background ???

    "Lock to Dome Orientation" is checked.

    Any ideas ?

    (latest NVidia Drivers etc, VRay 3.20.03, Viewport isn't Disabled etc etc).

    Many thanks.
    Jez

    Forgot to Wire Parameter the Dome light with the Horizontal Rotation - but shouldn't the "Lock to Dome Orientation" checkbox, which I've only just noticed, take care of that ?

      it's only going to rotate the HDRI/DOME and not the one in your environment.

          Well, if the dome is locked you can rotate the light, however, a instance in the Environment isn't going to rotate, too.
