    There are artifacts in the highlights no matter how high i set the sampling. The only way to get rid of this is
    switch on sub-pixel mapping. Max ray intensity is on, but has no effect. I couldn´t upload the video.
    There you would see a extreme flickering in the highlight.

    You could try making the sun invisible, or you could make the reflections slightly glossy so that the hilights are easier to sample.

          The way I got it to render eventually was to:

          a) turn on the "invisible" option for the VRaySun light;
          b) set the reflection glossiness of the blue glass material to 0.9;
          c) set the refraction glossiness of the blue glass material to 0.9.

          This softens the sun reflections/refractions and makes them easier to sample.

          Original, where the fireflies will be very difficult to clean up:

          Modified, where the sun is invisible and the reflections/refractions are slightly glossy:

          I'm wondering whether V-Ray can do this sort of glossiness adjustments automatically...

          Best regards,
          Vlado

            Ok, Thanks.

            i didn´t play with the refraction glossiness.

              Sounds like a good plan to me
