  • Render nodes random crash...

    Hey guys, i'm rendering out a large image (12000x6000) and the two render nodes have been working through the irradiance map just fine, then they randomly crashed out. Eventually after a couple more crashes they joined the render again and carried on... Then crashed again.

    I've had a quick search through the vraylog and found this:

    [2015/Dec/15|16:33:41] warning: Error receiving irradiance map 0: [VUtils::VRayRenderer::getRenderData] sendClientMessage() failed (0)
    [2015/Dec/15|16:33:41] [DR] Calling endFrame()
    [2015/Dec/15|16:33:41] Entering endFrame().
    [2015/Dec/15|16:33:41] Broadcasting NOTIFY_POST_RENDERFRAME.

    After this message the nodes seem to start unloading everything/closing the render session only to restart it again.

      I shouldn't think so, one has 48Gb, the other has 64Gb. My workstation has 32 and is only using about 16 for this particular scene.

        It looks more like a network problem... try rendering the irradiance map first, saving it, and then using the saved map for the final rendering.

        Best regards,
