VFB not opening up on servers

Hi All,

Happy New Year to everyone!

I have something strange that is happening when I render via my network machines. For some reason the VFB does not open on the server machines. I sent off to renders from the same 3ds max scene and the VFB didnt open on either servers. Everything else worked as expected I just could not see them rendering.

At first I thought it was specific to the file I was currently using, so I made a test scene, sent that off and again it render fine but this time I could see the VFB. While I was doing the test scene my original scene was still rendering on the other server A. Once the test scene started on server B and the VFB came on, the VFB came on on server A.

I hope that all makes sense.

Very strange stuff.

Anyone every run into this issue or see anything like this?

Hello Alex,

Would you please let us know how do you submit the job ? What render manager do you use ?
Also what are the exact 3DS Max and V-Ray versions?
If it happens only with specific scene then it would be best to send it to us for further investigation.
