  • Environment Fog - Bucket differences - Vray 3.3

    Good morning,
We are experiencing bucket variations in a scene with 2 environment fog layers.

We are running on Max 2016, Vray 3.3, Forest ...

The problem seems to be in the GI: BR + LC

I am happy to pack you the scene, if you give me an adress to send it to!

    Best regards, happy 2016,
    Peter, xoio

make sure your min aa rate is 2 or above.

        Hi Super Gnu!

Why is that? Why should you need a minimum sampling of 2 to make a difference for the bucket? Me curious?

@Vlado: I will wrap it up, you should have it asap ... (btw - it is a large scene, but the secondary ray bias did not change anything ...)

Doesn't make much sense to me either, it's not like other bucket differences, but I need the scene to be sure.

Ok, I don't need the whole scene, just enough to reproduce the issue.

          Best regards,
          Vlado

now i think about it, im not sure for a whole bucket.. although i have noticed in the past missing chunks of env fog when the min rate is at 1 and the fog is low density.. but youre right, its a whole bucket so probably its something else.. worth a try though.
