    Hi all

    Im not sure if what I am actually trying to do is possible but I thought I would post in here and find some advice. I am baking out my lighting for low polygon models and some of my models that I am baking from use displacement. However when I have the displacement activated the render to texture bake comes out black in teh areas of displacement. Is there anyway to get these two systems to work together as expected?

    Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    You could try baking through V-Ray RT, it should support baking of displaced objects properly, I think.

      Thanks for the reply.

      RT does in fact render the displacement as expected. Is there no way then of extending this ability to normal vray? Its strange that RT can do something that standard Vray cannot?

          It can be done of course, just never got round to it... will make a note to look into it.
