  • VRayInstancer strange behaviour

    Hi,

    SOLUTION:
I just found the bug. Somehow PFlow or VRay I dunno, they don't like frames.... going forward one frame and then back it fits. Type new seed, going forth and back again and it renders fine.

I set up a quick scene to drop some screws onto a floor via mParticles.
Now I then used the VRayInstancer to scatter the highquality particles (VRayProxies).

Unexpectedly, the VRayInstancer produced a different "seed" than the preview image in the viewport.
I made sure to have same steps and percentages in PFlow for viewport and rendering and I have no idea what's going wrong.

Screenshots attached, scene can be shared later if neccassary - but maybe the solution is simple, dunno.

I made sure that the preview particle for viewport display in PFlow has exactly the same size/shape/pivot than the VRayProxy.

Interestingly I just noticed that also when NOT using VRayInstancer, just the regular lowpoly mesh display/render of PFlow the image is slightly different. It's like black magic, it's not ENTIRELY different, just....off... some screws are rotated wrong, others fit perfectly...
