  • One scene vs. another

I have two projects and both use almost exactly the same assets, however, one is taking 12+hrs to render and the other takes 4 hrs to render. I used the same techniques for everything in both and the faster rendering scene is a lot larger than the slower rendering one. These are the things that confuse the heck out of me and makes me think it's an issue with the software. What to do?

Okay, I just realized that one thing the slow scene has is a screened porch. I used a very small black and white dot metric pattern for the screen, so the issue could be that. I guess I could do the screen in post. I am going to let this render, since it's been rendering for 7 hours and see what happens when I remove the screen material.
