Vray Materials not updating In material editor. Only update if I do it manually. Vray version 3.30.03. Any Ideas as to why"?

Please verify that "Manual update" in the material options is unticked.

I am having this same issue using vray_adv_41002_max2019_x64. Manual update is unchecked. Reinstalled VRay. No luck. Can't preview at all. Attached is issue.

Found the issue, max had crashed, and reverted the Assign Renderer of the Material Editor back to Scanline. Side eye to Autodesk... again.

Black sphere in Material editor for Vray materials generally means wrong renderer is selected and the materials displayed are not supported.
