Ambient light with LightSelect render element

Does the vray ambient light not work with the light select render element? It's working with other lights in this scene but returning black with the ambient light set.

I used it recently for a job, worked ok for me on vray 3.3. They were in Direct Light mode though if that helps.

Hello!

VRayLightSelect render element collects only the direct light cast from the selected VRayLight. This is why it remains black when used with VRayAmbientLight which mode is set to just GI. The GI component is collected in the VRayGlobalIllumination render element. Is this your case?

Yes that makes sense (obvious really!) thank you. I suppose to get a clean GI-only ambient light pass I'll have to turn off all the lights except that one and save it out manually.
