    Hi all,
i'm testing this recent atmospheric and i've to say i love it, being able to have a very cheap fog is a really nice thing (btw with environmentfog it seems i can't get clean renders with low render times but maybe it's just me asking too much).
There's one thing though that i find not working as expected: basically when i enable the "affect environment rays" option no matter what i put in the environment texture, i can't get a black background.
I like this feature because it gives a very softed/misted look, but while i know that maybe isn't 100% physically plausible, i can't use it in a real production situation when i have to split my renders.
Is there something that can be done about this?
    Thanks,

    fede

Not sure how this works? If you want the background to be black, just turn off the "affect environment rays" option?

Well then the beauty would output very differently though.

Ok, so you want to be able to control the "affect environment rays" option separately for camera rays and other types of rays (GI/reflection etc)?

          Exactly.
I reckon in this way i would be able to have the same render even if i'm not rendering everything in one layer.

+1 to this request. We need it as well over here. Cant do post work with fog being visible. We have work around but... more issues to look after in long term.

              Both max/maya please.
