  • V-Ray reflection exclude issue

    Hello,

In scene the two spheres have enabled "Reflection Exclude" with respect to each other but the effect is only partially visible in the left sphere. If enabling reflection exclude on both spheres the logical thing would be not reflecting each other right?, is this is a V-Ray error or it works only for one object at time?

    Regards,
    Jacobo

    Hello!

The two spheres can't be present in each other's reflection exclude list because it will create circular reference. This is why the sphere is not added to the list the second time.
You can set both spheres reflection lists to Include and add just the plane instead. This way the spheres will not have direct reflections of each other. However, they will still reflect what comes from the plane.

    Best regards,
    Margarita

      Hello Margarita,

Thanks for the advice, it works but now the spheres only reflect the plane and not the environment, I thought all could be done in one render but will have to continue spliting the render in half to avoid this.

      Best regards,
      Jacobo

This is what I was trying to get by just hitting render.

Yes, it's the dome light that they don't reflect when they use Include mode for the reflections list. You need to set the environment map in the Background to get it in the reflections.
