I am setting up a flythrough for the first time since installing 3.3.04 and I'm noticing a few issues. I am using the new default of "use local subdivs" unchecked.
My normal approach uses IR & LC with all vraylights set to "store with irradiance map" and high subdiv values.
I notice that when I check "store with irradiance map" the subdiv spinner becomes available - so far, so good. However the subdiv value entered has no effect on the quality of the light stored in the irradiance map, it is always bright splotchy. I have only been able to improve the quality by checking "use local subdivs" so my high subdiv value is taken into account.
The below images are both using the "High-animation preset", 100 hsph subdivs and 80 subdivs for the vraylights. The only setting changed between the renders is "use local subdivs" is checked in the clean render.

"use local subdivs" is unchecked

"use local subdivs" is checked
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
