  • vray sun goes wonky

I have a house with a vray sun and vray camera both at default settings with sun as my environment. I use the vray quick settings choice of Arch/viz exterior BF + LC. I hit the render button and it renders as expected. I make a few changes to the model and suddenly it renders overbright forcing me to reset the sun to .02 multiplier to get it to render correctly. I make a few modifications to the model and render. Suddenly it renders too dark. I reset the sun to 1.0 multiplier and I am back to normal. Any ideas about what is going on?

Sounds very familiar. Isn't this the well known problem where when hitting F9 Max decides to render a perspective version of the camera view? The fix for this when it happens is to put focus on the camera view, open the render setup window, unlock then lock the View to Render field, and hit Render from the Render Setup window. Happens really often here on all our Max installations.

I remember a couple versions back (can't remember which one) there was an issue if you were in camera view, then isolate something, do some changes etc all while in cam view, as soon as you exit isolate it jumps to a perspective view
        Kind Regards,
