  • Nightlies Folders Empty?

    Hi all

Which is the latest Nighlty that Vlado mentioned does some auto optimising for displacement when geometry out of view?
I see folders from 27 Feb till Today, but except for some blender builds, there's nothing else related to 64 bit for windows

EDIT: I'm trying the one from 25 Feb, hopefully that works

Which builds are you looking at? This might not be in the changelog, but it's definitely in the nightly builds...

      Best regards,
      Vlado

I would like to know too. I did a very quick test with this build but frankly I didn't notice a speed improvement on the seascape project we are working on at the moment. We are using vector displacement from the PhoenixFD map on a huge moderately subdivided plane object. Maybe I'm wrong as I didn't have time to play with it, I had to uninstall it since we already started the project on 3.30.03 and have to finish it on this version otherwise the sea would look different because of the changes to how reflections work in the new build.

Makes no difference in my case either. Crashed before the nightly and still crashing after. Changing Dynamic ram limit and switching OFF Embree doesnt help either

I would like to take a look at your scene then, can you get it to me at vlado@chaosgroup.com ? Not sure if there's anything that can be done right now about it, but maybe we can improve it in the future.

              Best regards,
              Vlado
