  • Baking Vray Edges Texture with 3.3.004

    Hey Guys,

We have a very simple setup, Vray Mat with EdgesTexture connected to Bump channel.
We tried to bake a Vraynormal Bump with the Render to texture feature.
But the "new" VrayEdgesTexture isnt visible in the baked map.
With vray 3.2 and the "old" VrayEdgesTexture" everthing is fine.

A normal Rendering is possible with booth versions

Could someone confirm this Bug or did we miss something.

    Thanks in advance
    Tommy

If it isn't just a bug, I think this is another good reason to add a "legacy" option in the VRayEdgesTex...

I know what you mean but I think one has to be very careful with all those legacy stuff, one could end up like 3ds max itself. ALthough I think CG has a very solid code foundation compared to max. Still, legacy may be good here and there but one has to be very careful with it.
In this case I'm for fixing instead of a legacy button. I think it can be managed.
