  • VRaySpawner + PFlow sync issues

    Hi,

I'm working on a project where I got a cave like scene, created purely by PFlow Cylinders (Data operators, driven by a texture mapped on a plane to drive cylinder height)

I noticed that if I use DR, it sometimes happens, after updating the texture file driving particle scale, that the DR node seems to have cached the old bitmap and renders it, whereas my workstation has the new one.
I can't reproduce this reliably, but what worked in 100% of cases so far was restarting the Spawner on the DR node prior to re-rendering.

I can prove a scene file if necassary. I got caching turned off in the DR settings.
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

Try to enable "Restart server on render end" option in the V-Ray distributed render settings window. This should sort it out.
