    press ESC.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

thanks paul, i give it a try next time. killed the process. ram went slowly slowly down, stayed felt forever at this point with small processor traffic. maybe i should wait an hour...but next time i try the ESC thing.

after clicking ESC the rendering window greyed out, ram went down, maybe a little faster, and it finished 10 minutes later with saving the image. so it ended... maybe faster than without ESC...

I'm not sure, I can't seem to find but maybe upgrade to the latest vray version, I though .04 received an update that fixed the slow unloading of memory at the end of a render.

Yes I know. I just meant that the slow unloading improvements came with .04 (I think).

How much memory is occupied during the rendering?
How much is installed on the machine?
What is the Dynamic Memory Limit value?
Have you got any dynamic geometry in the scene like, Displacement, Subdivisions, Proxies, Hair/Fur primitives?
Does it work better with 3.30.05?

dont know exactly, but at the final rendering about 54 megapixel needs is much more than the 64 gb ram.the standby cache has about 8-9 gb and goes at the end ot the rendering slowly down with about 1 mb per second...
think how long it needs. the ESC does not help.i think it was about 1 to 2 hours till it finished last rendering.
the final rendering thats going on now, i made with vrimg output...ram is nearly the same ;-(
dont want to switch version till the renderings are finished. next week i make a test with version .05
displacement off, dynamic limit is at "0" MB default geometry is "auto"

                      thanks for help svetlozar
