  • VrayDisplacementMod subdivision max 512?

    Hi,

I'am trying out these http://real-displacement-textures.com//demodownloads with VrayDisplacementMod.

As I understand it you will use them with the Subdivision Type within VrayDisplacementMod. But I would like to have a max subdivs value of 4096 is that possible? The renders is blazing fast right now in RT GPU and not much vram usage at all. But it seams to me that the max subdivs value of 512 is on the low side. I think Octane has a value of 8k. 2k or 4k would be much appriciated. Is their any cool round trip for this rigth now? I've tried to search the forum a bit.

    Best Regards!

im not sure what are you talking about... but even subdividing an object 64 times is totaly crazy...
each subD will quadruple the polycount...

The max subdiv value isn't resolution based...which I assume is what you are thinking. Think of if like the turbosmooth/opensubdiv modifiers.
