Works fine for me, both CPU and GPU. Do you have a specific example?

    Best regards,

Hmm just a simple scene, tea pot, sun sky, and nothing happens when adjusting anisotropy. Weird

Yes, I tried the same thing... will look into it again a bit later, but if you can record a short video it might be helpful.

Just tested this on 3.30.05 with GGX, blinn and ward. Works in all cases.

I cannot get it to work, what screen record utility should I use? I tried windows 10's built in one but it doesn't record the VFB or the material browser.

Have you guys tried ezvid ? is it safe? it's free so it worries me

You could use a 30days free trial version of Techsmith Camtasia, it is a professional software for screen-recording:
              https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html

ShareX is also a good tool for basic screen-recordings, it is free and it is save according to my experience with it:

You need some amount of glossiness for anisotropy to work. Obviously, perfectly mirror material can not be anisotropic.

I was thinking that but afraid to state the obvious.

Oh, right - you need the glossiness to be less than 1.0.

                      Best regards,

Ok, for this one the reason is different - the Phong BRDF doesn't support anisotropy. Will make sure to grey out the controls in that case. Sorry for the confusion.

But in the video you can see I tried all BDRF

You're right of course... Can you just save the scene, as it is, and attach it here? Like I said, the same example works fine for me but maybe there is something else that I don't see.

                              Best regards,
