  • Clipping SSS materials

    I love the VrayClipper, but I can't get it to clip the Vray SSS materials without leaving the clipped face dark. During GI precalculations it looks fine but when it renders it's dark. Chaning parameters for the clipper makes no difference.
    Any tips for a remedy?

    Change the Raytraced SSS ID of the Clipper object to a value different than zero and the clipped face should be fine:

      Didn't make a difference, neither changing the ID of the object with the SSS material.

            Thanks for the scene, we managed to reproduce the issue and added it as a bug into our system.
            Until the fix comes out please use Prepass-based illumination map scattering since it gives more accurate result:
