  • Strange Aberration Refraction Issue

    Hi!

I want to render some water drops and it's hard to get them to look right.
Apart from the many things involved in that task I discovered a strange effect when enabling the aberration checkbox in the refraction settings of the water material: all the drops become brighter when I have GI (BF,BF) and Refractive GI caustics enabled.
Is this some weird bug where light gets added inside the drops?

I'd like to render the water drops as physically correct as possible.

Can you attach this part of the scene or send it to support@chaosgroup.com . I can't manage to reproduce the issue.

Have you tried it with a standard Vray light?
The effect simply seems to be refractive caustics, which only appear with abbe enabled.
