It's supposed to work, yes - at least it does here. If it doesn't, can you post a scene?

    Best regards,

ok just to note (i should have mentioned) that this is with the latest nightly from yesterday.. installed to test the denoiser. if i switch to production renderer, the multimattes work as expected.

Also, RT can not generate multimattes based on materal id in multisub materials. Minor thing I came across recently.

Yes, will work on implementing that, it shouldn't be too hard.

              Hi!

I'am trying to get multimatte to work with my simple scene. I use Vray RT GPU as production render 3.40.02.
Multimatte renders black what ever I try, in standard Vray ADV it works fine. I've read that it works best with Material ID with GPU but I can't get it to work.
I've also read that it doesn't work with multisubobject texture yet. This will be a super cool feuture when it's fully availible with multimattes sweet antialiasing ofcourse.
Have some one get som nice result with multimatte render element and Vray GPU?

              Best regards!

Have you checked the "isMATID" option in the MultiMatteElement ?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Also make sure to choose the material id from here, not from the V-Ray material UI field ... for some reason it still doesn't work in RT, we will have to look at it.

Thank you very much for your support! I read about this ID box in the documentation but couldn't find it in the material editor interface.
                    Now it works for me!
