  • 3.40.01 Install Problem on Windows XP

    Hi

I tried to install 3.40.01 in 4 machines (one workstation and rendernodes 3) I have in Windows XP and all give error to start the 3DS Max. On machines with Windows 7 did´t give any problem.
One of the error messages is "GetActiveProcessorGroupCount could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL"

I have to revert to 3.30.05...

    Thx in advance,

    Nicolau Pais

      Hi Nicolau,

So it installed properly, but the 3ds Max cannot be started?
Can you provide more of the error messages that are appearing.

      Best regards,
      Alexander

Yes, the installation went smoothly. In rendernodes i only got that message already put in the first post. In Workstation to start with Max all that was related to the V-Ray showed error. I do not know if it was always the same but or was related to the KERNAL32.DLL or said some file did not exist.
        However i revert to 3.30.05

                    Hi Nicolau,

Looks like we have to fix some more problems with the Wndows XP support. I will notify you as soon as it's done.

                    Best regards,

                          Hi Nicolau,

Still looking into it. Currently it can be run, but the VRayVolumeGrid plugin produces an error. If you're in a hurry I could put it to the nightly builds like this.

                          Best regards,
                          Alexander
