I remember reading about Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft. He said that he wasn't the software guy, he was the numbers guy. With Win8, he didn't have a clue about anything to do with it and nobody was running it, so it was a nightmare. The same thing can be going on over at AD. The executives are in wasteful meeting all day and the developers spend the day bouncing beach balls across cubicles. I worked for a place that ran like that. The money was just flowing in, nobody cared. The management couldn't be found and the staff didn't really care about much. Once the money stopped coming in so easily, the stuff hit the fan.

"sure I'm responsible for the care and feeding of the north end of this dog. but what comes out of the south end is none of my responsibility or concern."

did you see my question to you above regarding asking a few questions about how you arrive at such excellent results with your renderings?

you can see some of my architectural renderings on my site:

Very impressive. I would be keen to ask some questions via email about some of your technique if you are agreeable to that?
Sure, just email at info@bobby-parker.com. Most of what I have learned I have learned from the guys here.

            thanks and will do.

I also have learned much from asking for help and posing question in forums.

FYI, You can see which service pack you have installed by going to Help/Autodesk Product Information/About 3ds max -- look at top bar.
