SOLVED: The issue was one open shape (non-welded vertices). Interesting that it gives this result, I would've expected that it just ignores that path and fills it with white since it can't calculate the distance on that non-solid object.

I've recently run into some kind of bug maybe with the VRayDistanceTex - no idea what's wrong.
My setup is simple: One groundplane, and one extruded spline.
The spline should mask a certain area via DistanceTex.
Here is the material setup for the groundplane, very simple:
The render result looks like this:
As you can see there is some kind of huge black block in there, which is definitely not in the geometry, there are only two objects in the scene, groundplane and extruded spline (as editable mesh)
