I am having issues converting larger scenes. I have had three projects that seem to take forever to finish, if at all. Currently, I am sitting watching one churn for over an hour. What exactly is going on that could possibly take so long?

Going on 1 1/2 hours. I had one take about 3 hours and others that sat all night and never finished. At what point do I kill it? Maybe, a progress bar?

Break up the scene into smaller chunks maybe so you can isolate the problem.

Things have just been going so well with V-Ray 3X and 3DS MAX 2017, I forgot about troubleshooting stuff. Things have just been working, for the most part.

I built it in MAX. Heavy proxies, some displacement, and other things going on, but nothing special.

I imported trees and other assets.

If you haven't already, immediately break out the trees you've converted into a library of converted stuff so you don't end up doing it again!

I should. I only converted it because I was getting all those normal errors.

You can follow the conversion process in the Script Listener but generally it would be best if you could send us the scene so we could test and investigate further.
