  • Vray render history do not save with Win10

    Hello everybody,

I've installed win10 and now the vray render history doesn't work anymore.
I can load but can't save.
If i click on save, the screenshot appears, name is "N/A", and time is negative...

    Any ideas ?

    Thx

Hmm.. That's strange. I'm on Windows 10 too but don't experience this issue. I've had similar problem on a couple of occasions with names showing as N/A but after restarting Max the correct names appeared. This happened when I was on Windows 7 but it was very rare and as I mentioned restarting Max fixed this.

Tried we the same setup but everything worked fine here. Probably this is a permission issue.
Could you try to set %temp% as a History folder and see if this helps?

I think file create/save permissions is a common issue for Windows 10. Maybe due to security reasons the user accounts are not able to save directly on C:\ for an example and probably this is applies to other folders as well. You can try searching the web for "folder permission change on Windows 10"

                I'm having the same problem Max2015 vray 3.40.02 - Win10
VBF History doesn't work at all. Well, I can turn it on or off but can't load or save. I can load images into the VBF.
Tashko I don't exactly understand what you mean by setting the "%temp% as a history folder", I've tried to configure the system path for history to C:\temp, thereby moving it away from a user path, but that didn't work. Is that what you meant?

The Temp folder that you need to set is not "C:\temp" but instead "C:\Users\Win_User_here\AppData\Local\Temp" where you need to set your windows user name in "Win_User_here". Or you can type %temp% in windows explorer address field and it will get you there.
