Ok so I have set up corrections in the VFB and saved as a LUT and cannot read it anywhere. What LUT format is it making?
I would like to convert and load into AE or other packages.
Hmmm yes something does seem fishy here. With further tests, it seems the LUT gets loaded, but somehow it doesn't duplicate what I have in VFB, it looses saturation
Doing some more tests...
But you're saying, in your tests it has no effect at all?
If the no options are on the in the color corrections and I save it will load in pshop in a corrections layer, if anything is on and I save Photoshop or AE wont load it at all. Throwing the error "Could not parse the 3D LUT because of a problem using the Adobe Color Engine."
I am fairly certain I am doing something wrong somewhere.
Strange, it loads for me, although still with a different result as the VFB. Also tried now in Fusion and I get the same result as in PS. Maybe there's something up with the way the CUBE file is saved.
I think there may be something wrong with the way the VFB saves the LUT, if I load the LUT back into the VFB, I get the same result as what I got in PS and Fusion. So the CUBE file is being read correctly it would appear. It stands to reason then that it's not being saved correctly in the 1st place.
Perhaps there's some kind of limitation of what can be saved into the CUBE from the VFB. When I have more time I'll go one by one down the list of corrections, enable them and save separate CUBE files, and see if that makes a difference. But that won't be until somewhere next week.
