  • Light Cache Pause w/ backburner

I have a fairly complex scene that has some pauses in the light cache calculation process, when this happens if you try to click on Max it will say that it is not responding. It always resumes and the scene finishes no problem. However, when this pause happens during rendering via Backburner, there is always an error that occurs. What I think it happening is that Backburner tries to talk to the render slave and when it can't, it assumes it has crashed and kills the job.

Does anyone know of a setting that I can increase to avoid this issue? It's not wait to load, because the scene is already loading.

When I break up the scene, it renders fine but I would prefer to try to get this done all in one shot. Any ideas?

That's an interesting case, any chance to send us that scene for investigation?
What is the memory usage during the LC pass? Have you noticed if the same pauses appears with different LC settings, for example lower subdivisions values etc?
